  • Houda Kassatly

    Houda Kassatly is a photographer and an ethnologist. Her work was exhibited in various galleries in Lebanon and France (Institut du Monde Arabe, Palis de Tokyo, Art Paris). She has published several books including: « La communauté monastique de Deir el Harf » (1996, Université de Balamand), « De pierres et de couleurs, vie et mort des maisons du vieux Beyrouth » (1998, Editions Layali), « Si proches si extrêmes, rituels en sursis du Liban et de Syrie » (1998, Editions Layali), « Beiteddine, silences et lumières » (2001, Editions Layali), «Terres de Bekaa.     Ibrahim Berberi & Richard Kassab / 109 Architectes

    Ibrahim Berberi joined 109 Architectes in 2003, and has been a driving force behind the firm’s regional business development ever since. He oversees the execution of high-profile projects including the new Université Saint-Joseph Campus in Beirut.Ibrahim holds a Post-MBA Certificate from McGill University, Canada (2005), an MBA from ESCP-EAP, Paris and Beirut (1999), and a DESS in Architecture from ALBA, Beirut (1993). He recently attended two postgraduate programs – Planning and Building Sustainable Campuses and The Sustainable House: Designing Truly Green Homes – at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design.

    In 2007, Richard Kassab became a vital part of 109 Architectes’ design team. In addition to his work on competitions and large scale concept designs, Richard is currently working on the development of the award-winning Disaster and Prevention Center in Istanbul. Richard graduated with a DES in Architecture from Université Saint-Esprit Kaslik. In 2011, he completed a communications workshop at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.
